The schedule counts from when texts and photos are available, and it is agreed in writing before work starts.
Show technical details
Every project goes through the same checklist. Technical terms explained:
- Light page: hand-written HTML and CSS (the page structure and look) without the extra code of a site builder. For example, Cecilia's home page is about 15 kB.
- Response time: the time it takes the server to return the page is measured and recorded at launch.
- Schema (JSON-LD): machine-readable markup that tells search engines and AI search about your business, your services and frequently asked questions.
- Sitemap and robots.txt: files that tell search engines your page addresses and rules.
- Languages (Studio and Premium): each language gets its own address and hreflang tags, which tell which language version is meant for whom.
- Old page addresses are redirected to the new ones (301 redirect), so pages Google already knows don't disappear.

If you are weighing a monthly fee: €49/month adds up to €1,764 over three years. Also check who owns the site when the contract ends. A one-off site is yours, and you can skip maintenance.

How much does a business website cost?

Are a website and a homepage the same thing?
In everyday speech, yes. Website, homepage and web pages all mean the same thing: a business's own site at its own address.
How long does it take to build a website?
Starter takes 1.5 to 2 weeks, Studio 3 to 4 weeks and Premium 5 to 7 weeks. The schedule is agreed in writing before work starts.
How many pages does a business need?
For a small business, a home page, services and contact details are often enough. If you offer several services, give each one its own page, because customers search Google for that exact service.
Who owns the website?
You do. The domain, site and code are in your name from day one. You can take everything with you at any time, and any developer can carry on.
What do I need to have ready?
Texts and photos, or the information the texts are written from. If you don't have time to write, I write them for you, which raises the price.
What does maintenance cost?
Basic €79/month, Growth €180/month with tracking and a monthly report. You can skip maintenance and the site still works.
Should I build the site myself?
If you have time and need just one page, a website builder is fine to start with. A DIY site often lacks what brings in enquiries: clear texts, speed on mobile and being easy to find.
Do you build websites outside Helsinki?
Yes. The business is in Helsinki, but the work is done remotely (Google Meet), so the client can be anywhere in Finland. For example, Heiskanen is in Kuopio and Virtalaki in Tampere.
Will the site show up on Google and in AI search?
The site is built so that Google and AI search (ChatGPT, Gemini) understand what you do. I can't promise rankings, because nobody can guarantee them. Visibility in AI search.
